What is therapy like with me?
I believe therapy should be a place where you can bring your whole self. My work is grounded in the belief that people make sense within the context of their relationships, families, cultures, identities, and lived experiences, and that every person deserves to explore their relationships, sexuality, and sexual identity without shame or stigma.
I draw from systemic, multicultural, feminist, and existential perspectives while integrating attachment theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and emotionally focused principles. This means that we’ll work collaboratively to explore the patterns that have shaped your life, your values, struggles, and desires to build clarity, deeper self-understanding, and stronger, more joyful relationships.
Who does Rebecca Work with?
I have a particular focus in couples therapy, sex therapy, relationship patterns, sexual identity, body image, religious trauma, gender identity, neurodivergence, and sexuality while pregnant, parenting, undergoing fertility treatments, or navigating adoption. Growing up in a multicultural family and having an intercultural marriage gives me an appreciation for the value and complexity of cultural identity. I enjoy helping people explore how culture, traditions, and lived experiences shape their relationships, sexuality, and sense of self. I provide individual, couples, and sex therapy under clinical supervision and am completing Levels 1 and 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
Education and Experience.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Stanford University and am completing my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Before studying therapy, I worked in various
nonprofit settings supporting people navigating teen parenthood, people facing housing Instability, and interfaith communities. Those experiences shaped my systemic, multicultural approach to therapy.
Outside the therapy room.
you’ll find me in my garden with my family, cooking, catching up
with friends, reading something that sends me down a curiosity rabbit hole, or in the water. I believe people are endlessly interesting, and every person and relationship is worthy of compassionate understanding and support. I’d be honored to work with you and be part of your journey toward greater connection, healing, and growth.
