Welcome!
I'm Coty, an AASECT certified sex therapist in Colorado.
My journey to becoming a sex therapist started with growing up in the South with a lack of sex education. I felt like there was never the proper resources to set my community up for success in creating healthy sexual or romantic relationships. When I began college, I studied women’s, gender, and sexuality studies and psychology. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in sexual health and sex education with a range of communities.
This experience helped me begin my own journey to understanding what healthy relationships and sexuality looked like for me; my hope as a therapist is to give my client’s space to explore what sexuality and healthy relationships means to them. I recognize how complex and unique humans are and use a client centered approach in order to co-create a plan that works for you. I also recognize how challenging it can be to begin the process of sex and relationship therapy, and hope to provide a space for empathy and understanding- as well as growth.
